Clinics
Half (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) clinics are offered for skill building in one session and cover skills such as foundational mountain bike technique, jumps and drops, or cornering. Clinic sizes are capped at 6 participants, offering plenty of one-on-one feedback.
Intro to Jumps and Drops Half Day Clinic
Are you interested in learning how to safely get your wheels off the ground? This 4 hour clinic will go over the anatomy of a jump, proper body position and technique for riding jumps and drops, and how to get your timing for take-off right. You’ll get plenty of practice on safe terrain with supportive coaching, video analysis, and feedback.

The experience:
4 hour half day clinic

Small group size (6 participants max)
Rider level:
You ride flowy blue trails and want to work on riding more of the jump and drop features
You’ve rolled down or ridden features that can be aired and want to be able to air them
You are looking to get your wheels off the ground for the first time or with more control
You want to understand the technique of riding jumps and drops and not just be told to “send it”
You want clear coaching and feedback in a supportive environment
Skills covered:
Understanding the anatomy of a jump
Correct technique for riding drops and jumps
Body position for staying balanced and relaxed in the air
Maneuvers including front and rear wheel lifts, level lifts, and bunny hops
How to build consistency so airtime feels fun and not scary
Mental aspects of staying relaxed, positive self-talk, and visualizing success
Location:
Meet at Galbraith Mountain Southside parking lot

$150 per person for a 4 hour clinic of professional and intentionally planned mountain bike skills instruction.

Cancellation and Booking Policy:
I understand that unexpected events can happen. If something unexpected comes up, reach out to me ASAP and I’ll do my best to find a solution that works.
You’re welcome to transfer your booking to another date (subject to availability) at no cost up to 3 days before the booking.
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the program date will receive a full refund minus a $10 administrative fee.
Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.
Minimum Numbers
All programs need a minimum of 2 riders to go ahead.
If a program doesn’t reach the minimum, I will contact you in advance with the option to:
Transfer to another date
Receive a full refund.
Use the credit toward another program or private 1:1 lesson.
Weather and Safety
Skills programs will operate in all but the most extreme or unsafe environmental conditions.
Wild Kat Rides reserves the right to reschedule or cancel programs due to circumstances beyond my control (global pandemic, forest fire and subsequent smoke, thunderstorms, torrential rain or snow, etc). Participants will receive a full refund, minus a $10 administrative fee, or an option to transfer to another date.
Equipment:
You are responsible for your bike being in safe, working order for the program.
Helmets are mandatory at all times while on a bike.
It is recommended that participants wear protective eye wear, gloves, knee, and elbow pads.
Medical and other concerns:
Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport that may involve many risks, dangers, and hazards.
Minor injuries can occur, as well as major injuries such as concussion, broken bones, and heart attacks.
There is always a chance of personal injury, death, property damage, and loss.
All participants are required to sign a Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement at time of registration, prior to start of trip.
Participants are required to inform Wild Kat Rides of any allergies, medical conditions, or injuries that might affect their riding or health, including any medications taken.
Fundamentals of Mountain Biking Half Day Clinic
Are you interested in learning to mountain bike and looking for an introduction to the basics? This 4 hour clinic will get you stoked on riding in a supportive, no pressure environment. We’ll work on body positioning, proper brake control, and being dynamic on the bike to build confidence for riding on the trails.

You are looking to get more experience and coaching on single track trail riding
You are looking for a refresher of the basics skills
